Welcome to CGC! Did you know that Simon was teaching at the Sydney Classical Guitar Summer School? Perhaps you will participate next time. There were several CGC members there this year.
Nice to have you join us at CGC. I’m sure you wil benefit by reviewing the first level. Simon has developed his lesson plan in a wonderfully organized way.
Looking forward to hearing you play some time in the future…
Congratulations on finishing up the lessons for Level One! I think you play very smoothly, very enjoying to listen to :)
Cheers and best wishes for your further goals,
You are right about copyright issues but I think you could send a copy to Dave for “educational purposes” so he can help you. As far as I know that would be allowed, someone should correct me if I am wrong here.

Great to see you’ve finished Level One. Congratulations!

Super nice playing on all the the pieces! I especially liked the Carcassi Andantino with the ritardandos to round off phrases, the dynamics and changes of tone color.

Most important – I think – is that we hear and know what we are doing, otherwise we can’t very well change anything. So if you had been separating bass notes and rolling chords unintentionally, I’m glad I was able to draw your attention to it.
It was wonderful playing on these pieces though.

Congratulations on finishing the Level 1 Certificate Course! You did a great job here.
One comment on the Giuliani Etude No.1 – do you notice that you often split a bass note from a top note and also roll several chords? That type of articulation is quite nice but should be reserved for bringing out special notes or chords. If it’s…[Read more]
That was wonderful, I enjoyed listening very much. This piece is also known as Romance de los Pinos but I don’t know the reason for it having two titles. Perhaps someone at CGC knows why?
