9:15 am Small Ensemble Groups 11:00 am Evan Taucher Workshop: Practicing Technique Musically This workshop explores how to develop classical guitar technique routines through a musical lens. Rather than treating technical exercises as something separate from expression, we will practice fundamental skills while always connecting them to sound, phrasing, color, dynamic motion, and musical intention. Topics will include a healthy warmup routine, scales, slurs, arpeggio building, tone production, and vibrato. The goal is to help students build reliable routines while staying connected to the instrument’s expressive possibilities. 12:00 pm Lunch 1:15 pm Lessons / Informal Open Mic 4:00 pm Orchestra Rehearsal 6:00 pm Dinner 7:30 pm Concert Opening: Dave Belcher Concert: Bret Williams |
